Film Submission

The Vienna International Children’s Film Festival presents international productions or co-productions of great artistic merit, intended specifically for children and young people.

Submission criteria:

• Feature-length films by professional filmmakers
• intended for a young audience from 4 to 14 years
• production period 2023 to 2025

Short films can only be submitted for the age group 4 to 6 years, all other short films will not be considered.

All submitted films that meet the criteria will be viewed and discussed by the team of festival directors. The festival directors are responsible for all program sections of the festival.

Projection at the festival: DCP

Non-German language films will be shown in their original version with a live German Voice Over.

Submission period: from 1 February to 15 June 2025
